Small-Circle Jujitsu

This is a grappling system including throws, locks, choking, and striking techniques. It is characterized by in-fighting and close work. This is a circular, hard/soft, external style. The techniques and principles of Small-Circle Jujitsu are incorporated into the Ryukyu Kempo class sessions at MKA Karate.

The ten principles of Small Circle Jujitsu
(reprinted with permission of Professor Wally Jay):
1. Balance
2. Mobility and Stability
3. Avoid the head-on collision of forces
4. Mental resistance and distraction
5. Focus to the smallest point possible (proper direction of force)
6. Energy transfer
7. Create a base
8. Sticking, control, and sensitivity
9. Rotation momentum
10. Transitional flow.

Dr. Terry has been a student of Professor Wally Jay since the mid-1980's and now trains with his son Professor Leon Jay.
